Rengen-LiDr. Rengen Li is coming to Tampa Bay, to the International Business Summit on 11 March 2010. He will to teach the Tampa Bay, SunCoast and Lakeland business communities how to do business with large businesses, including the biggest corporations in the world.

Rengen is well-known as a highly entertaining speaker, as well as a specialist on how small and medium sized companies can build mutually beneficial, successful long-term business relationships with larger organizations.

Dr. Li has been with Coca Cola since 1994 and is presently their Supplier Diversity Manager. He is a passionate advocate of companies offering equal procurement opportunities to minority businesses. He is also an expert in how large organizations can leverage diverse supply chains, and small business partnerships, to achieve significant bottom-line savings.

Since taking up his present position at Coke, Dr Li has helped to increase the organization’s supplier diversity spending by over 400%.

Rengen was born in China and obtained his MBA at Georgia State University. He also has a BSc. from Indiana University and a Ph.D. from Florida State University.

Dr. Li has received numerous awards for his contributions to promoting business effectiveness and diversity. Rengen holds key positions on numerous boards, including FMSDC, the Florida Minority Supplier Development Council, where he is a Director at Large. He is Chairman of the GMSDC, Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council. Both FMSDC and GMSDC are chapters of NMSDC.

Coca Cola is sponsoring Dr. Li’s visit and address, as a gift to the business community of the Bay Area. Dr. Li will be the keynote speaker at the 9 a.m. Plenary Session of the International Business Summit. He will be introduced by the Mayor of Tampa, Pam Iorio.
