The first annual India International Film Festival (IIFF) of Tampa bay, an Initiative of the Indo-US Chamber of Commerce, will open with a red carpet event of celebrities and filmmakers, followed by the opening feature film on Friday January 22nd at 6 pm at Channelside Cinemas. The three day festival will end with the closing reception/happy hour on Sunday January 24th after the 5:30 feature film.

6:00 pm – Panel Discussion – “When Art Meets Business” – Film Making and Finance in the Global Market . Moderated by Lindsey Guthrie, Chair of Film Florida Film Commission, Film Commision Manager – Tampa Bay&Co, together with Larry Haber, Entertainment attorney and Tom Garrett, Film Producer and Founder of an international film distribution company. Come and learn more about the business of film making. Open to ALL
10pm – 3pm After party at Gallaghers Steak House @ Channelside (tickets sold separately) Will feature Live performance by up and coming pop singer Prita Chhabra
Sunday, January 24, 2010 – All day pass $15
12:00 pm – 5:30 Feature films including Bollywood Feature – Wake up Sid

2:30 pm – Special presentation on Bollywood and the Music Industry by Kanniks Kannikeswaran from Center for India Studies, University of South Florida.
5:30 pm Closing feature- Award winning film Bombay Summer preceded by Oscar award shortlisted shot film KAVI. Followed by Q&A with the director and ending with closing reception/happy hour.
